Programme goals

The goal of the programme Strategic Leadership and Policy Making Skills is to improve employees' knowledge and skills for strategic leadership and to develop skills in administration to create policies.

Contribution towards development of knowledge, skills and competences

At the end of the training the participants will:

  • Increase knowledge of the need for more effective strategic planning, communication, problem solving and decision making;
  • Improve policy-making processes - creating a vision for change, analyzing evidence-based policy processes, defining policy scenarios (worst and best case scenario), making criteria-based decisions, risk management and policy evaluation.
  • Improve work efficiency by using leadership tools in policy making and action and clear communication and objectivity in implementing solutions
  • You will practice these skills during training

  • Creating policy scenarios, best and worst possible scenarios in creating public policies
  • Policy-making skills: problem solving and decision making
  • Generating options - creativity in the policy making process
  • Criteria for decision making and sorting options
  • Evaluating leading options
  • Implementation, communication and policy evaluation
  • Communication and preparation of policy brief
  • Redefining stakeholders
  • Influence mapping and pressure analysis
  • Policy monitoring and evaluation
