Programme goals

The aim of this workshop is to support development and strengthen the capacity of top management in public administration, following up on the latest insights and best practices regarding their role, responsibilities and issues that are a priority for public sector managers.

At the end of the training the participants will:

  • Learn about your own leadership style
  • Identify successful approaches to achieving influence through negotiation and persuasion
  • Understand the dynamics of teams and their functioning
  • Understand the principles of improving job performance
  • Assess their own organizational culture and climate
  • Look at the change management framework
  • Develop strategies to overcome resistance to change
  • Identify the critical success factors in the change management process

  • The role of leadership in successfully leading change, including:
  • Change management framework
  • Critical factors for success in the change management process
  • Evaluation of organizational culture and climate
  • Overcoming resistance to change
  • Managing the success of the organization
  • How to assess organizational "adaptation to a specific goal"
  • Analysis and involvement of stakeholders
  • Demand for increasing public involvement and personalized services
  • Partnership work (including the private and civil sectors)
  • Assess your own leadership style and teamwork style by completing the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, and understand its impact on others.
  • Successful approaches to achieving influence through negotiation and persuasion
  • Consider leadership approaches that are most relevant to today's challenges
  • Building teams and their dynamics
  • Improving performance, measuring performance and the role of 360 feedback
