Programme goals

The program is an advanced training for open data, designed to acquire advanced skills for people with technical knowledge of the concept of open data, especially for designated open data officers and IT persons from state institutions.

The goal of the program is to improve the technical skills for identifying, prioritizing and publishing datasets on the portal data.gov.mk.

Contribution towards development of knowledge, skills and competences

At the end of the training the participants will:

  • Gain knowledge of the concept and benefits of open data
  • Gain advanced knowledge of the technical aspects of open data, including open data formats, open data platforms, licensing, dataset structures and data quality dimensions.
  • Gain advanced knowledge in the field of data literacy
  • Gain advanced techniques for filtering and anonymizing datasets
  • Gain practical knowledge about the process of publishing datasets on the portal data.gov.mk.

Iskra has extensive experience in managing projects financed by the European Union in Macedonia, mainly for the development of institutions of public administration and supporting reforms aimed at EU membership. She was part of the management team of the contracting authority for IPA, where she was responsible for the functioning of IPA structures in the beneficiary institutions, capacity development, establishment and operation of the decentralized implementation system of IPA,quality control of tender documents and procedures, conducting numerous tender evaluations and coordinating all Twinning contracts.
