The drafting of this policy paper aims to analyze the state of affairs of businesses established and run by women entrepreneurs during the Covid-19 pandemic emergency. We pay special attention to the situation at the national level of micro and small enterprises established and run by women entrepreneurs, the need for government policies and state support necessary for their recovery.

The document contains international practices and analysis of the impact of the pandemic and its economic consequences on businesses founded and run by women, as well as six proposals to policy makers that we consider necessary to implement as soon as possible, which would the growth and development of women entrepreneurship has accelerated. From the numerous analyzes, reports, studies and publications that we used in the preparation of this document, we saw the need to take special measures to recover and strengthen female entrepreneurship. There is an essential need to improve the position of women entrepreneurs in the country, to provide easier access to finance and to open new business opportunities.
