Maja Pinjo Talevska

Maja Pinjo Talevska is an experienced professional with a demonstrated history of working in the political organisation industry. Skilled in strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation of strategies, programmes and projects and donor coordination processes. Also, skilled in Government, International Relations, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), Policy Analysis, and Research.

In her almost two-decade career, she has demonstrated a commitment to excellence, contributing to various projects and initiatives aimed at promoting regional cooperation, EU integration, and institutional development. Her diverse professional background, combined with her extensive skills and experience, makes her a valuable asset in the fields of European affairs, security governance, and public administration reform.

She has also undergone various professional training programs, including certification as an IPA trainer in public administration and completion of courses on project monitoring, human resources guidelines, and procurement procedures under PRAG.

Maja was also editor of the Western Balkan largest public and business opinion survey “Balkan Barometer” and is co-author of two special editions of the named publication: #SecuriMeter 2021 “Attitudes towards security: Perceptions of security and threats in Western Balkans” and “Balkan Barometer 2020: Covid-19 impact assessment”.

In terms of language skills, Maja is proficient in Macedonian, English, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, and Bulgarian, with a high level of competence in Spanish and Italian.

Maja holds a Master of Arts in EU Institutions and Policies from the Faculty of Law "Justinian I" in Skopje, North Macedonia, and a Postgraduate Certificate from the European Research Institute at the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, in Contemporary European Studies. Additionally, she obtained a Bachelor of Management from the University "St Cyril and Methodius," Faculty of Economics in Skopje
